General Family Dental Care

The health of your teeth and mouth is very important to the well-being of your entire body. While routine brushing and flossing at home are necessary to keep your smile looking its best, visiting us at Lone Peak Dental for a comprehensive exam and cleaning is essential for optimal oral health and prevention of extensive procedures later in life. The American Dental Association recommends a dental exam and cleaning every six months.

By routinely visiting us for exams and cleanings you can help:

  • Prevent tooth decay, gum disease, and bad breath

  • Keep your teeth white by reducing stains caused by food and drink

  • Save money by avoiding costly and extensive dental procedures

  • Have a smile that will last a lifetime

Exams & Cleanings

It is recommended to have a dental exam & cleaning twice yearly to ensure that your smile is in good health. Regular dental checkups allow Dr. L to identify dental issues at an early stage, preventing the progression of dental issues and avoiding more extensive treatments in the future.

Fluoride Treatment

Fluoride treatments are applied by our dental hygienists in order to potentially remineralize tooth enamel, protect against harmful acid, prevent early stages of decay, and prevent buildup of bacteria and dental plaque.

Early Child Visits

Early dental visits allow dentists to monitor the growth and development of a child's teeth and identify any potential dental problems at an early stage. Early detection allows for prompt treatment and can prevent the progression of dental problems.

Oral Cancer Screening

During an examination, we will look for signs of precancerous conditions in your mouth. If there is early detection, there is a greater chance for successful treatment and improved prognosis.

Mouth/Sports Guard

Mouth guards are one of the best ways to protect teeth from injuries during contact sports or from nightly teeth grinding. The LPD team can provide a custom fit mouth guard to help protect your smile.

Sealants

Dental sealants are thin, resin coatings that seal over the narrow grooves found on the chewing surfaces of the back teeth to help prevent tooth decay of molars and premolars.
